Kitesurf promises to be significantly more efficient than Chromium in terms of CPU and memory usage, focusing on the needs of AI models rather than traditional user features. Key design decisions include a commitment to rigorous testing, utilizing Rust for performance, implementing robust error handling, and ensuring isolation for security. Kitesurf's architecture comprises components like the Engine, PageScript, and PageRenderer, all optimized for performance and stateless operation.
It successfully passes over 215,000 Web Platform Tests (WPT) and is available for free in its beta phase via Browser Run, allowing users to explore and interact with its features.
