FIVE individuals from London have been charged in connection with a fraud platform known as "Russian Coms," which is linked to millions of scam calls. The charges include conspiracy to aid fraud and acquiring criminal property. The platform, operational since 2020, was used by criminals to mask their identities by using spoofed numbers associated with trusted organizations. Victims, believing they were speaking to legitimate entities, were tricked into transferring funds.
The platform is implicated in over 1.3 million scam calls and has resulted in significant financial losses for victims. These suspects are slated to appear in court on August 14, 2026.
