The biometrics sector tops the industry rankings for threats, with significant increases observed in East Asia, particularly in malicious scripts and phishing threats.
Various categories of threats were analyzed, revealing an increase in blockages for denylisted internet resources, malicious documents, and ransomware, with the latter rising to 0.16%. Email threats surged to 2.84%, particularly in South America and Africa. The report also highlights the decrease of threats from removable media and network folders, indicating evolving threat landscapes across different regions and industries.
