OBSIDIAN Security has secured $85 million in a Series D funding round, increasing its valuation to $1.1 billion. Led by Crescent Cove Advisors with participation from Greylock Partners and Menlo Ventures, this investment brings the company's total funding to over $200 million. Obsidian's platform focuses on managing AI agents and SaaS application security, ensuring compliance and preventing unauthorized access within enterprise systems.
The new funding will support the development of governance controls for tools like Claude Code and Cowork, aiming to enhance security in third-party applications. CEO Hasan Imam emphasized the need for real-time policy enforcement on agent actions within these apps, as only 13% of security teams currently manage such oversight.
