LIFESPAN Physician Group, known as Brown Health Medical Group-MA, has reported a data breach affecting over 311,000 individuals. The breach, which occurred at their Hawthorn facility in December 2025, involved unauthorized access to a file server containing personal, medical, and financial information. Affected data includes names, contact details, Social Security numbers, and financial account information.
While the electronic health records remained protected, additional employee training and server safeguards have been implemented. The organization is offering two years of free fraud detection and identity protection services to those impacted. No identity of the attackers has been disclosed.
