THE Centers Laboratory (Centers Lab NJ LLC), a healthcare diagnostics company, reported a data breach affecting over 540,000 individuals due to an intrusion discovered in August 2025. The breach, which involved limited access to the organization's IT systems, resulted in the exfiltration of personal and health information, including names, birthdates, Social Security numbers, and medical records. The WorldLeaks cybercrime group was behind the attack, having leaked more than 1.6 million files, totaling 720 GB.
This group focuses on data theft and extortion, emerging after the shutdown of another ransomware group. As of now, there are over 170 organizations listed as targets by WorldLeaks.
