MOZILLA has announced Firefox Enterprise, a new corporate edition that combines the Firefox browser with a dedicated enterprise management console. The product is aimed at organisations with strict security, governance, and compliance needs and is beginning a commercial rollout in France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with further global expansion planned.
The offering lets organisations deploy the management console and related services on their own infrastructure, enabling centralised configuration of browser policies, website access controls, and extension deployment. It supports single sign-on (SSO) and device security posture checks, and allows granular control over actions such as copy-paste, file uploads and downloads, and printing on a per-site basis to curb data exfiltration.
Administrators also decide whether to enable or disable the browser’s native AI features. All browser events and admin actions can be exported to existing SIEM systems. Firefox Enterprise is positioned as an option alongside established Firefox ESR deployments, with the inaugural corporate edition listed as version 158.0 and a formal application process for interested customers; pricing remains undisclosed and is expected to be negotiated directly based on organisation size and user volumes.
