DATABREACHES [.]net reports that the hacktivist known as “Internet Yiff Machine” (IYM) said the P3 database from the BlueLeaks 2.0 incident has not been sold and will not be sold, having been taken off the market. The dataset comprises 8.3 million tips that were described as anonymous and secure and had been shared with DDoSecrets[.]org, Straight Arrow News, and DataBreaches[.]net.
IYM had previously listed the dataset for sale on a hacking forum for $10,000.00, and offered a $15 lookup service for a name or a bulk rate of $100 for 10 searches; later, the lookup service was removed but the dataset was retained for now. According to IYM, there are five known copies in existence—their own copy, DDoSecrets[.]org’s, Thalen’s, DataBreaches[.]net’s, and maiw crimew’s—with DataBreaches unaware that hacktivist maia arson crimew (formerly Tillie Kottmann) also holds a copy.
The final decision not to sell followed a combination of reporting from multiple sources and concerns that some leaked tips could impact a court case for a mutual associate.
