AMAZON Web Services (AWS) recently launched 'Continuum', an AI-powered vulnerability management platform designed to assist security teams in managing the lifecycle of code vulnerabilities from discovery to remediation.
Announced during the AWS Summit in New York, Continuum has four primary features: (1) discovery of existing and new vulnerabilities, (2) prioritization and contextual evaluation of findings, (3) validation to eliminate false positives, and (4) recommendations for mitigation or remediation based on the existing security environment. Continuum starts in 'learn mode' with human oversight and can transition to 'enforce mode' for automated actions.
The platform also includes the AWS Security Agent to aid in penetration testing and threat modeling. AWS emphasizes the need for shifting security workflows to keep up with evolving cyber threats.
