DOXX [.]net has announced a $38 million Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Animo Ventures and Focal[.]vc, aimed at advancing its Agentic Defined Networking (ADN) platform. The Miami-based startup, founded in 2025 by Barrett Lyon, positions ADN as a private, parallel internet designed to prevent “agentic misadventure” by AI agents operating under a user’s authority.
The company claims its architecture delivers privacy by design, rather than relying on policy-based protections, and emphasises that users and their agents can set the terms of privacy themselves.
ADN provides a serverless, peer-to-peer networking environment for both humans and AI agents to connect, communicate and browse without central intermediaries. It integrates built-in threat protection that blocks malicious destinations, malware and phishing sites, along with features for agent integration, API control, and privacy and anti-tracking. The platform operates with its own IP space, autonomous DNS root, certificate authority and even offers 196 custom top-level domains.
Notably, accounts are created via proof-of-work, with no requirement for usernames or personal information. Dooxx[.]net reports that, since December 2025 in closed beta, the ADN network has blocked more than 38 million threats. The company asserts this private network can help agents and users avoid known and emerging threats while maintaining end-to-end communication, though still supports cross-platform apps across iOS, macOS, Android, Windows and Linux.
