ACCENTURE has confirmed a data breach involving the theft of internal source code, as claimed by a hacker on the forum PwnForums. The hacker reported stealing 35 GB of data, including Azure access keys, tokens, configuration files, and more. Access to the data was purportedly demonstrated through a screenshot of an Azure DevOps repository.
While Accenture has stated there’s no impact on its operations, details surrounding the breach, such as how it happened and if personal information was compromised, remain unclear. Security experts express concerns that this stolen data could inform future attacks, underscoring Accenture's position as a key target in the consulting and services ecosystem.
