XAI , founded by Elon Musk, is taking emergency measures due to a controversy involving unauthorized uploads of users' private code via the Grok Build CLI tool. The company announced it will permanently delete all uploaded user data for security reasons after a cybersecurity expert discovered that the tool was sending entire Git repositories, including change history, to company servers. The issue was found in Grok Build version 0.2.93. Musk confirmed in a post that all user data will be completely deleted, leaving no trace.
