The built-in backup feature can no longer create or update file backups on affected systems, even when the destination drive or network-attached storage (NAS) remains connected. Users may be prompted to reconnect a drive, while backup timestamps can become stuck and previously saved file versions may disappear. The issue affects folders such as Documents, Desktop, Downloads and Pictures, potentially preventing recovery of deleted or altered files.
