A data breach at Autism Services of Saskatoon resulted in the theft of personal information from over 2,000 individuals. Discovered on March 20, 2025, the organization swiftly isolated affected systems and terminated network access, but sensitive information including names, dates of birth, addresses, social insurance numbers, health card information, and credit card details were likely taken.
The Saskatchewan Information and Privacy Commissioner, Grace Hession David, reported that the organization notified the affected individuals and improved its IT security. The Commissioner also recommended that affected individuals regularly monitor their credit reports to guard against fraud and identity theft.
