DEBIAN 11 Linux has officially reached the end of its long-term support on August 31, 2026, concluding its five-year support lifecycle. Users are urged to upgrade to later versions, such as Debian 12 or 13, which will receive free security updates until mid-2028 and 2030, respectively. For organizations still relying on Debian 11, a paid Extended Long Term Support (ELTS) from the Freexian team is available until June 30, 2031.
However, this service is independent and does not equate to continuing official maintenance from the Debian project. Users should be aware that not all software is covered under LTS support, particularly games and some unsupported packages.
