TCG Issues New Guidance on Quantum Safe TPM Certification

THE Trusted Computing Group (TCG) has released new guidance to help organizations verify the quantum-safety of trusted platform modules (TPMs). This comes as concerns rise around safeguarding systems against quantum-enabled attacks. The guidance includes a standard for PQ-ready TPMs, which are categorized into two types: 'TCG PQC-ready TPM' and 'TCG PQC-upgradable TPM.' This classification helps organizations assess their readiness for post-quantum cryptography (PQC). The TCG aims to enhance its certification programs for these TPMs.
