Dev Machine Guard launches browser extension inventory tool

DEV Machine Guard has introduced a feature that inventories browser extensions across developer machines, identifying each installed extension in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, along with its permissions and the devices running it. This new functionality allows security teams to maintain oversight of a crucial area often overlooked in developer tool management.

The Browser Extensions page displays comprehensive details, including extension origin, capabilities, and flags to signify necessary special treatments for certain installs. This tool aids incident response, manages high-capability extensions, identifies unmanaged extensions, and reviews their provenance. It is integrated with existing Dev Machine Guard services and is accessible from version 1.16.0 of the agent.
