MALWAREBYTES reports another clean sweep in independent testing, highlighting a string of recent accolades across three major evaluators. The company states it achieved a perfect 18 out of 18 in AV-TEST’s Windows Consumer Security Product Test for the July/August 2026 cycle, earning AV-TEST’s Top Product award by scoring full marks for protection, performance impact and false positives. The firm notes that it has now collected the Top Product award more than a dozen times since first entering AV-TEST’s programme in 2018.

In addition, Malwarebytes says it earned Level 1 Certification from MRG Effitas in their July 2026 Consumer Assessment & Certification Programme. The malware test involved 300 live in-the-wild samples, with Malwarebytes blocking 99% before execution and the remaining 1% after they began to exhibit malicious behaviour; the product also reported zero false positives across 100 legitimate apps and blocked all five live phishing sites included in the test.

A further positive result comes from AVLab Cybersecurity Foundation’s Advanced In-the-Wild Malware Test, where Malwarebytes stopped 100% of threats before they could run in both the May and July 2026 assessments. The company frames these outcomes as part of a continuing pattern of stronger threat-prevention performance, alongside other recognitions such as Best of CNET and ZDNET Editor’s Choice awards.
