A retired lawyer, Clint Docken, has initiated a class-action lawsuit against the Alberta government, its Chief Electoral Officer, and two organizations involved in the Centurion Project. The lawsuit claims these parties played roles in an alleged data breach that compromised the personal information of 2.9 million residents, including vulnerable groups like domestic violence victims and healthcare professionals.

Docken asserts that the government and Elections Alberta failed to implement necessary safeguards to protect the list of electors. The lawsuit currently does not include a compensation estimate.
