QUALCOMM launched the Snapdragon C computing platform at COMPUTEX 2026, designed for entry-level Windows laptops targeting students, families, and small businesses. Acer's Aspire Go 15 is the first model utilizing this platform, aimed at the $300 market segment to compete with Apple’s MacBook Neo. The Snapdragon C features an 8-core Kryo CPU manufactured on a 6nm process, promising better performance and battery efficiency compared to traditional laptops.
It supports LPDDR5 and LPDDR4x memory standards, allowing for cost-effective configurations amid rising memory prices. The platform incorporates modern connectivity features and efficient power management, catering to budget-conscious users and addressing common pain points of entry-level laptops.
