ACCORDING to NetBlocks, with Cloudflare Radar confirming, Iran’s internet experienced a near-total blackout as Israel and the United States carried out strikes against the country. Network data indicated national connectivity was reduced to about 4% of normal levels during the incident, which followed ongoing military actions by the US and Israel.
Cloudflare Radar noted that internet traffic in Iran dropped to effectively zero as of 18:45 UTC (22:15 local time), signalling a complete shutdown from the country’s link to the global Internet. The disruption has been described as resembling measures used during last year’s conflict with Israel, suggesting authorities may have intentionally restricted connectivity amid escalating tensions.
Large-scale cyberattacks were reportedly directed at Iran alongside Saturday’s strikes, with local media reporting outages affecting major domestic platforms such as IRNA and ISNA as state media faltered. 28 February 2026.
