WYNN Resorts has confirmed that hackers stole employee data, with the group ShinyHunters claiming the breach and listing Wynn Resorts on its data leak site. According to SecurityWeek, Wynn said an unauthorized third party acquired certain employee data and that the incident did not affect guest experience or operations. The attackers added Wynn Resorts to their leak site on 20 February 2026, claiming they stole more than 800,000 records including personally identifiable information such as SSNs.
The company stated that the stolen data has been deleted and that, to date, there is no evidence the data has been published or misused, though an ongoing investigation is being conducted with third-party IT advisors and credit monitoring has been offered to affected employees. SecurityWeek notes that the Register had reported a ransom demand of 22.34 bitcoin, and Wynn has not publicly confirmed whether a payment was made. Wynn emphasised that protecting employee and guest data remains a top priority as the investigation continues.
