LIBYA’S Central Bank (CBL) is investigating data published on the dark web following a recent cyberattack. The bank's technical teams, in collaboration with international experts, are analyzing the data to determine its nature and potential linkage to the attack reported earlier this month. After detecting the breach three weeks ago, the bank activated emergency measures to contain the incident and restore affected systems.
Additionally, the CBL previously reassured stakeholders that there were no indicators of breaches affecting accounts or financial assets; however, if the leaked data is valid, it raises questions regarding the bank's earlier assurances.
