GLOBAL Schools Group (GSG) sought court injunctions to prevent the publication of sensitive data after a significant data breach. The High Court of Bombay issued an ad-interim injunction on June 12, 2026, while a Singapore court issued a similar injunction a day later. Both injunctions had different plaintiffs but aimed to restrict FulcrumSec and associated parties from disseminating the leaked information.
Despite these legal measures, GSG's injunctions have had limited efficacy against threat actors, who continue to circulate the data. FulcrumSec claimed they were unaware of the Bombay injunction and asserted their operations would remain unaffected. The injunctions have raised concerns about potential censorship and the impact on journalistic freedom, as courts did not provide representation for the press during hearings.
