SCAMMERS have produced a live presale site for a supposed “Google Coin” that uses a fake Gemini AI chatbot to pitch investments, claiming to be the official helper for the Google Coin platform. The bot, which brands itself with Gemini styling and a green “Online” status, guides visitors through a sales pitch and financial projections, including a claim that a $395 investment would be worth $2,755 at listing.

Malwarebytes notes that Google does not have a cryptocurrency, and the site fabricates urgency by touting a Stage 5 of 5 and listing date of 18 February. The operation relies on a convincingly polished fake site that displays logos of OpenAI, Google, Binance, Squarespace, Coinbase and SpaceX to bolster credibility, while refusing to provide verifiable company details.

According to Chainalysis, roughly 60% of funds flowing into crypto scam wallets were tied to scammers using AI, and Malwarebytes warns that this AI-enabled fraud toolkit can engage hundreds of visitors 24/7, with the “buyer beware” guidance emphasising that there is no real value, no exchange listing, and no way to recover funds.

The FTC’s Consumer Sentinel data is also cited, noting losses to investment scams, and Malwarebytes advises verifying claims on official company sites and avoiding cryptocurrency payments based on projected returns.
