ASIA’S digital supply chain faces distinctive challenges from regulatory divergence to a dense web of third‑party tools, AI models, cloud platforms, data vendors and automation, a topic set to be explored at Black Hat Asia 2026. According to Black Hat Asia 2026, Security experts from Bitdefender, ISACA, Varonis and others will gather on 22 April to discuss the risks that arise from Asia’s interconnected ecosystems and the way AI integrations amplify exposure.
One panelist, Pankaj Dubey, co‑founder and chief technology officer of Sparkle AI, notes that countries in the region maintain very different regulatory standards and security maturities, which complicates vendor onboarding and compliance across multiple markets.
The discussion will also cover how large language models and extensive third‑party integrations can broaden the attack surface, with guidance on a three‑layer approach: map and monitor vendors, observe and alert for security issues, and ensure AI systems themselves are secure. Dubey emphasises that in Asia, the mix of regional regulations and vendor origins means organisations must understand who their partners are and the technologies they employ to reduce risk.
