CrowdStrike to Acquire Onum to Fuel Falcon Next-Gen SIEM With Real-Time Telemetry
CrowdStrike says it plans to acquire Onum, a Spanish startup that provides real-time telemetry pipeline technology, to enhance its Falcon Next-Gen SIEM with streaming data. Onum is built on a stateless, in-memory architecture, which CrowdStrike says will boost speed, scale, and efficiency in onboarding and give customers control of their security and observability data.
The deal terms were not disclosed, but it is reportedly valued at $290 million, and the announcement includes quotes from CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz and Onum founder Pedro Castillo outlining the value of real-time telemetry and data transformation for autonomous cybersecurity at scale. Onum was launched in 2023 by Pedro Castillo and Lucas Varela and has raised more than $40 million in funding.
The piece, written by SecurityWeek News, notes that Onum will transform data into real-time intelligence and that joining CrowdStrike aims to accelerate SOC transformation globally. according to SecurityWeek News. 28 August 2025
