EMPIRICAL , a Chicago-based cybersecurity startup founded in 2024, has secured $25 million in Series A funding, increasing its total funding to $37 million. The investment, led by Brightmind Partners, will expedite the development of its key products: Foundation, which monitors over 18,000 exploited CVEs for threat prediction, and Radiant, a predictive engine tailored to identify relevant threats for organizations.
Empirical aims to enhance organizations' cybersecurity capabilities through AI-driven insights to manage and measure cyber risks effectively. The company was co-founded by notable figures in the cybersecurity field, including Ed Bellis and Michael Roytman.
