Capital One launches AI security tool VulnHunter on GitHub

Capital One has open-sourced an AI-powered security tool called "VulnHunter" designed to identify and remediate software vulnerabilities. Unlike traditional vulnerability scanners, VulnHunter aims to reduce false positives and enhance developer workflows by providing targeted remediation suggestions. It employs an agentic reasoning workflow to map potential attack paths. The tool is available on GitHub and requires access to Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Code environment for use.
