377,000 Impacted by Data Breach at Texas Gas Station Firm

Gulshan Management Services, Inc., which operates gas stations in Texas under Gulshan Enterprises, disclosed a data breach affecting more than 377,000 individuals. The breach resulted from a ransomware incident, with unauthorized access detected after a phishing attack; the attacker reportedly had access to Gulshan’s IT systems for 10 days before discovery. Personal information exposed included names, contact details, SSNs, and driver’s licence numbers.

No known ransomware group has publicly claimed responsibility for the attack, and Gulshan indicated it restored systems using “known-safe backups” rather than negotiating a payment. According to the Maine Attorney General’s Office filing, the breach was detected in late September, as authorities were informed of the incident. Written by Eduard Kovacs for SecurityWeek, the piece was published on 9 January 2026.
