CALGARY police charged a City of Calgary 911 employee after an investigation into unauthorized disclosure of confidential information. The investigation, which began in January, revealed that the employee allegedly accessed and shared sensitive emergency communications information without authorization between July 2023 and January 2024. The motive behind this breach and the identity of the unauthorized recipient remain unclear. Jessica Lynn Nelson, 43, faces one count of breach of trust by a public officer and is scheduled for a hearing on August 28, 2026.
