Novo Nordisk breach exposes trial patient and staff data

NOVO Nordisk, a major pharmaceutical company, reported a cybersecurity incident where unauthorized access to internal IT systems occurred, leading to potential exposure of personal data of patients involved in clinical trials. Although the data comprised information like patient IDs and health markers, it was stated that it was anonymized and could not directly identify individuals. However, personal details of healthcare providers were also at risk, including their contact information. The attack has not been attributed to any known cybercrime group.
