Daylight Raises $33 Million for AI-Powered MDR Platform
SecurityWeek reports that Daylight has announced a $33 million Series A round to fuel the development of its AI-powered Managed Detection and Response platform, described as MASS, and the launch of new protection modules for identity threat response and cloud workloads. The funding round was led by Craft Ventures, with additional support from Bain Capital Ventures, Maple VC, and several angel investors, and will be used to expand Daylight’s security operations platform and accelerate product development.
Daylight, founded in 2024 by Israel’s Unit 8200 veterans and based in Tel Aviv, emerged from stealth mode in September with $7 million in seed funding and now operates across Asia, Europe, and North America, serving organisations including Cresta, McKinsey Investment Office, and The Motley Fool. The company says its platform hunts, analyses, and contains threats in real time, around the clock, in hybrid environments, learning and adapting autonomously while enabling defenders to scale with existing security teams.
According to Daylight’s co-founder and CEO Hagai Shapira, the company aims to reinvent detection and response by combining AI speed with human expertise.
