Google hints at Pixel 11 event with new camera light ring

Google has announced its upcoming hardware launch event for the Pixel 11 series, set for August 12. The teaser video highlights a new spinning, circular light indicator next to the camera, sparking various hypotheses about its function: it could indicate on-device processing status for the Gemini AI, serve as an interactive notification system like Glyph lighting, or act as a safety alert for mixed reality tasks.

The Pixel 11 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, powered by the new Tensor G6 chip, with enhanced brightness and battery efficiency. Three new color options will be available, though rising supply chain costs may increase prices compared to previous models.
