Zania Raises $18 Million for AI-Powered GRC Platform
Zania has disclosed an $18 million Series A funding round, bringing its total raised to $20 million, in a move that will fund expanding its engineering and go-to-market teams. According to NEA (New Enterprise Associates), the investment will back Zania’s agentic AI platform, which uses autonomous, domain-specific AI “teammates” to perform risk and compliance operations.
The company, founded in 2023 in Palo Alto, says its agents continuously collect evidence, test controls, and identify gaps against compliance frameworks, while also handling full-lifecycle vendor assessments and vendor questionnaire responses. Zania plans to broaden its agent library to cover end-to-end compliance and invest in proprietary models capable of complex, multi-step reasoning.
Speaking on the funding, founder and CEO Shruti Gupta noted the aim to automate the entire GRC lifecycle and accelerate growth across both engineering and market-facing functions.
