MICROSOFT has introduced its first AI cybersecurity model, MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, which reportedly outperforms competitors in detecting vulnerabilities. Integrated within Microsoft's MDASH platform, it utilizes over 100 AI agents for effective vulnerability identification and remediation. Testing indicated this model, in conjunction with GPT-5.4, surpassed Google's Flash Cyber and OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol in performance.
MAI-Cyber-1-Flash is designed to handle 90% of common tasks, allowing more complex models to tackle harder challenges, offering a 50% cost reduction. It will be available through Project Perception for organizations to simulate attacks and manage threats starting August 3.
