Palo Alto Networks to Acquire Observability Platform Chronosphere in $3.35 Billion Deal
According to SecurityWeek News, on 19 November 2025 Palo Alto Networks announced it has agreed to acquire observability platform Chronosphere in a deal valued at $3.35 billion. Under the terms, the total consideration will be paid in cash and replacement equity awards, subject to adjustments. Chronosphere reported annual recurring revenue of more than $160 million as of the end of September 2025.
The move pairs Chronosphere’s observability platform with Palo Alto’s AgentiX, deploying AI agents on large data volumes to detect performance issues, autonomously investigate root causes, and close the loop with remediation. The acquisition follows a string of recent deals, including a massive $25 billion purchase of CyberArk announced in July 2025, with further acquisitions like Protect AI noted earlier in the year.
