ORACLE Red Bull Racing Team has expanded its security automation by adopting 1Password for automation, credential access, governed access, and SaaS management to boost both speed and security. The 1Password partnership kicked off in February 2025 in a phased rollout, with ongoing refinements as teams work to integrate the tools across operations.
The project supports more than 2,000 people and thousands of servers and clusters, spanning on‑premises and cloud environments, and the team manages well over 100 service accounts. In the wind tunnel programme, where engineers face a strict 500‑hour annual limit, the new automation has helped reduce wind tunnel recovery time from one hour to two minutes and enables a one‑click reset of the entire workflow.
Cadieux and Brunton emphasise that centralised credentials and access controls improve speed without compromising security, and that the move is as much about reducing 3 a.m. wake‑ups as it is about design and data security, according to 1Password. 30 April 2026.
