IoT Security Firm Exein Raises €100 Million

Exein, an Italy-based IoT security firm, announced on Thursday that it has raised another €100 million ($117 million) to accelerate its global expansion, bringing its total funding in 2025 to €170 million ($200 million). The round was led by Blue Cloud Ventures with participation from HV Capital, Intrepid Growth Partners, Geodesic Capital and JP Morgan, and follows several earlier rounds that, in total, have seen the company raise more than $25 million previously.

Exein has developed an all-in-one security platform designed to be embedded into the firmware of IoT devices, offering an AI-powered runtime security platform that includes an Analyzer to scan for vulnerabilities and incidents and a Runtime component for continuous threat monitoring and containment, even when devices lack internet connectivity. The firm, founded in 2018 by Gianni Cuozzo, says its platform protects more than one billion devices and aims to expand further in 2026, including an active M&A strategy.

According to SecurityWeek, Cuozzo described the move as enabling faster global scale and the introduction of a next generation of runtime security technology.
