Most Smart Wearables Fall Short on Privacy, EFF Report Finds

Despite the growing use of devices like smartwatches, rings, and bands, only Apple and Google publish transparency reports, with Apple being the only brand providing end-to-end encryption for health data. Many competitors only offer protections that don't prevent the companies themselves from accessing user data. The EFF urges smart wearables manufacturers to prioritize transparency and stronger privacy measures, rather than treating them as optional features.
