Cloudflare's developer platform keeps getting better, faster, and more powerful. Here's everything that's new.
Cloudflare’s developer platform is expanding with a raft of new capabilities announced on 25 September 2025, including broader Node.js API access such as node:fs and node:https, and the ability to use models from OpenAI and Anthropic in AI Search, which has rebranded from AutoRAG. The Containers platform now supports larger concurrent instances and bigger memory and CPU limits, with a new standard-2 instance type coming soon to handle AI sandboxes and data processing tasks.
Workers Builds is now generally available, offering increased disk space to 20 GB, doubled CPU power to 4 vCPU for paid plans, and faster builds, while Remote Bindings enables connecting to production services from local development. Playwright in Browser Rendering is GA, Stagehand is introduced to help AI agents navigate sites, and the overall dashboard experience for Durable Objects, R2, and Workers has a more consistent look and feel with faster loading and easier access to data.
Additionally, Media Transformations and Infrequent Access in R2 have moved to GA, with new on-demand video transformation capabilities and a low-cost storage class for less-frequently accessed data.
