Malwarebytes scores 100% in AV Comparatives Stalkerware Test 2025

Malwarebytes scored 100% in the AV Comparatives Stalkerware Test 2025, announced on 7 November 2025. According to AV-Comparatives, the assessment evaluated 13 leading Android security solutions against 17 diverse stalkerware-type apps, with Malwarebytes the only product to achieve a 100% detection rate. The report notes that Bitdefender, ESET, Kaspersky, and McAfee followed with 94% each, while Avast, Avira and F-Secure identified 88%.

Norton and Sophos achieved around 82%, and at the lower end G Data, Google and Trend Micro missed substantial portions of the stalkerware, scoring 65%, 53% and 59% respectively. Malwarebytes’ participation in the coalition against stalkerware and its 100% score are framed as part of a broader commitment to survivor safety and clear, honest threat information.
