KAI emerged from stealth with $125 million in funding for an AI-powered platform that aims to bridge IT and OT cybersecurity. The San Jose, CA-based company, founded by Galina Antova and Damiano Bolzoni, says the platform uses AI to autonomously and continuously perform critical security tasks across IT and OT environments, including threat detection, vulnerability management, risk profiling, and shadow IT/OT discovery.
The funding, raised over seed and Series A rounds, comes from Evolution Equity Partners, N47, and other investors, and will support R&D, scaling the platform, and accelerating go-to-market efforts. Antova, a former SecurityWeek contributor, previously co-founded Claroty, while Bolzoni co-founded SecurityMatters, which was acquired by Forescout Technologies in 2018. Kai on 10 March 2026 announced their aim to dissolve the walls between security, engineering, and IT at a larger scale.
