Equixly Raises $11 Million for AI-Powered API Penetration Testing

Equixly, the Florence-based Italian cybersecurity startup, disclosed on SecurityWeek that it has raised €10 million (about $11.6 million) in a Series A round, bringing its total funding to over $13.3 million. The round was led by 33N Ventures, with additional support from Alpha Intelligence Capital, JME Ventures, 360 Capital, and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze.

Founded in 2022, Equixly has built an AI-powered penetration testing platform that identifies API vulnerabilities and helps developers address them, automating API testing and predicting where flaws will occur. The platform embeds AI agents into existing systems to surface issues across the development lifecycle, maps a organisation’s API ecosystem, and runs attack simulations within CI/CD pipelines.

The company plans to use the fresh funds to expand globally, starting with the UK, scale its team, and invest in proprietary AI model development, according to SecurityWeek.
