Microsoft Launches Gaming Copilot on Windows & Xbox App

Microsoft has announced the broad launch of Gaming Copilot on Windows PCs and the Xbox App, following its beta debut for Xbox Insiders under the name Copilot for Gaming. The AI-powered assistant is designed to provide game guides, account information, and personalised recommendations, with overlaid chat that can be triggered by voice or typed questions during play.

It is available to players aged 18 and older, and on Windows it is accessed via the built-in chat in the PC Game Bar, while the Xbox App version will roll out to Android and iOS in October, with the service not available in China. The tool can analyse screenshots and in-game activity to offer tailored hints, and it can handle Xbox account queries and suggest purchases from the store.

According to news.xbox[.]com, Microsoft expects Gaming Copilot to broaden AI-driven gameplay support as it aligns with upcoming hardware like the ROG Xbox Ally, which launches on 16 October in partnership with ASUS.
