Palo Alto Networks, Google Cloud Strike Multibillion-Dollar AI and Cloud Security Deal
Palo Alto Networks and Google Cloud have announced a multibillion-dollar AI and cloud security deal designed to deepen their existing partnership. The agreement will see Palo Alto migrate key internal workloads to Google Cloud and utilise Google’s Vertex AI platform and Gemini large language models to power its security copilots. Enhancements include integrating Palo Alto’s Prisma AIRS AI Security platform directly into Google Cloud’s developer ecosystem, with deeper ties in core security infrastructure.
Palo Alto’s VM-Series firewalls will be optimised for Google Cloud to provide deep packet inspection across public and hybrid environments, while Prisma Access will leverage Google’s global network and Cloud Interconnect for remote workers. The deal also notes that the relationship has already generated over $2 billion in sales via the Google Cloud Marketplace, as the firms seek a single pane of glass for security teams managing multi-cloud footprints.
Specific financial terms remain sparse, with both companies describing the agreement as multibillion-dollar and declining to specify a contract duration. 19 December 2025.
