A recent study by ISC2 revealed that many cybersecurity teams struggle to allocate time for training on emerging cyber threats due to various barriers. Despite a reported increase in training budgets by 73% in response to new technologies, over half (53%) of security leaders indicated challenges in engaging with training during work hours. Common obstacles include maintaining up-to-date training content, finding qualified trainers, and a lack of employee willingness.
Organizations are encouraged to integrate dedicated training time into employees' schedules to enhance readiness against evolving cyber threats. The study gathered responses from 995 cybersecurity leaders across various countries.
