GitGuardian Raises $50M Series C to Address Non-Human Identities Crisis and AI Agent Security Gap

GITGUARDIAN has raised $50 million in a Series C funding round led by Insight Partners, with Quadrille Capital and existing investors Balderton, BPI, Eurazeo, Fly Ventures and Sapphire Ventures also participating, according to the press release. The round aims to accelerate expansion across the Americas, EMEA and strategic verticals, and to push further into AI agent security and enterprise-scale non-human identity governance.

The company notes enterprise momentum from 2025, including protections for more than 115,000 developers, monitoring of over 610,000 repositories, and 210,000+ connected collaboration sources, plus 350,000 secret exposures detected and remediated that year. The funding will support three pillars: AI agent security innovation, enterprise-scale NHI governance, and geographic expansion into regions such as APAC, South America and the Middle East.

The announcement also highlights regulatory considerations across Europe, with mentions of GDPR, NIS2 and DORA and the aim to grow GitGuardian as the leading option for non-human identities and AI agents in large enterprises.
