Hardware Inflation: Dell Hikes Business PC Prices by up to 30% as Memory Costs Skyrocket
Dell has told its business customers that prices for its business-oriented PCs will rise from 17 December 2025 as memory and storage costs increase, with the magnitude varying by SKU based on installed RAM and SSD capacity. According to Dell sales representatives, contract prices are expected to climb by about 10 to 30 percent, a move described as largely unavoidable for organisations procuring these products.
For commercial systems with 32 GB of memory, prices are projected to rise by USD 130 to 230, while configurations with up to 128 GB of RAM could see increases ranging from USD 520 to 765. Memory price hikes are expected to be more substantial than those for solid-state drives, with a 1 TB SSD added to a business desktop or laptop costing between USD 55 and 135.
The Dell Pro 55 Plus 4K monitor is currently USD 1,349.99 and is set to rise by about USD 150, and certain NVIDIA RTX Pro GPU configurations could incur extra costs up to USD 530 for the 24 GB version. Dell also sent a memo to its sales teams on 25 November urging decisive action ahead of the price hikes, noting that placing orders now for future deliveries will not lock in current pricing.
