Apple Patches 19 WebKit Vulnerabilities
Apple has issued updates for iOS 26.1 and macOS Tahoe 26.1 to patch more than 100 vulnerabilities, including 56 security defects in iOS that cover 19 WebKit issues. According to the advisory, successful exploitation could allow cross-origin data exfiltration, cause memory corruption or process crashes, and enable keystroke monitoring.
Google’s Big Sleep AI agent reportedly contributed many of the bug reports, and according to Google, the AI can help identify flaws that threat actors may exploit in the wild. macOS Tahoe 26.1 patches 105 security defects, with 18 of those resolved in WebKit, and the updates address potential kernel memory corruption, data leaks, sandbox escape, and other impacts.
In addition, Apple released updates for macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 and macOS Sonoma 14.8.2, with patches for dozens of vulnerabilities each, and Safari 26.1 brings fixes for nearly two dozen flaws to affected macOS versions.
